Sheffield Tournament

Braves will finish there season going up to Sheffield on 7th & 8th June.

Fife Tournament

The Brave are off to Scotland over the Easter weekend to take part in the Hockey UK tournament held in Kirkcaldy.

The Braves first match of the Tournament will be 8am Saturday morning againts Nottingham!

A long hard drive for the crew with Green Goddess in front with our glorious leader at the helm and  Hot Sausage, The Rampant Rabbitt and Silver Ghost in hot pursuit but here we are!! Updates on the games will follow as soon as we can make it but remember "What happens in Fife stays in Fife.........." Our comiserations to those arriving with "Not So Easy Jet" and congrats to the Bowman-Daniels crew for finally making it after 2 gruelling days on the road.

Well, made it to the semi final only to be knocked out by a strong Nottingham team but only at the second round of penalty shots. A good time was had by all and many thanks to our friends in Kirkaldy for a great weekend. A special mention in dispatches to all the 14's who played up to help the 16's win their tournament!! The Batty Bus and convoy made it back in record time with no major hiccoughs and hopefully our "import" will have some pictures for us to upload soon...........................

After a long tiring weekend the Braves batteled against some strong, physical teams of Nottingham Tigers, Kircaldy Chiefs, Dundee Stars and Whitley Warriors. The Braves finished the weekend in 4th due to a disapointing day of hockey for the boys on the Saturday who just could not work as a team. But on the Sunday a different team turned up to play the final group game against Whitley Warriors to get us into the semi finals. What a turn around for the Braves playing some TEAM hockey by moving the puck around the ice with great passing a communication. Braves won the game 4-0 outshooting them 23-1!!

Semi finals Brave v Nottingham, Braves lost to Nottingham in the group game 6-0 so all the players and parents expecting the worse. But Braves nearly made the upset of the tournament, 2 mins to play Braves 2 - Nottingham 1 !!!! But the class team of Nottingham leveled up the game through Geroge Pritchett in the last miniute of the game. So it went to penalty shoot-out, and after 5 shoots each it was still level 2 all so in sudden death shoot-out the braves were unable to convert there 2nd shoot and Scott Conway of Nottingham nicley finished his shoot for the win. But what a game the Braves had, not letting Nottingham set up and gave them no time on the puck. Nottingham ended up winning the Tournament in the final against Kirkcaldy Cheifs in OT.

A big WELL DONE to the U16's for winning the tournament playing the Fife Flames in the final. The u16's only taking 7 players 1 goalie, so have to borrow at least 4 u14's every game 2 of which scoring goals for them.

THANK YOU to all Players and Parents that attended a very exsiting and tiring tournament in Scotland.
