The game got off to a quick start with Sam Mercer scoring from an assist from Oliver Baldock at just 1.11 into the game.
At 5.16 Ryan Morgan received 2min penalty for elbows but Chelmsford defended strongly stopping Storm from taking any advantage from their power play.
The Braves next goal came at 10.37 from Michael Dervish assisted by Sam Mercer and continued to pressurise Storm hard creating a 3rd goal, unassisted from Charlie Ascott at 11.56.
1 min before the end of the first period, Storm received a penalty for tripping which we were unable to take advantage of. Shortly after getting back to full strength, at the start of the 2nd period, Milton Keynes scored their first goal at 17.16 but their jubilation was quickly squashed by another goal from Sam Mercer assisted by Oliver Baldock bringing the score to 4-1.
Another penalty to Storm at 19.48 produced a power play goal from a slap shot by Sam Jackson at 20.53 Milton Keynes returned to full strength with the Braves continuing the pressure with Tom Dimond scoring the 6th goal assisted by Taylor Ross at 27.40 6 seconds later, Storm went back down to 4 players which created a 2nd power play goal from Michael Dervish assisted by Sam Mercer leaving Chelmsford 7-1 ahead at the end of the 2nd period.
At the start of the final period the Braves received 10 min misconduct followed by anther 2 penalties leaving them under pressure with Storm scoring a second but final goal of the game.
